Hvis s\u00e5 er tilfelle, b\u00f8r den elektriske str\u00f8mmen fra jernbanetanken, tilbake til lastebroen, via de sikkerhetskritiske forbindelsene mellom sporet og lastestedet, verifiseres ofte, helst f\u00f8r hver overf\u00f8ring.   \n\nVerifikasjon av forbindelsen kan gj\u00f8res av en elektriker med et m\u00e5leinstrument eller automatisk via et jordingssystem. Lastestedet i seg selv b\u00f8r ogs\u00e5 jordes, da ledes all statisk elektrisitet direkte ned i jorden via lastebroen. \n\nAndre steder i Europa velger \u00e5 jorde sine jernbanekj\u00f8ret\u00f8y fordi grunnen der sporet g\u00e5r ikke har en p\u00e5litelig tilkobling til jorden.
