Smart lighting for increased safety
When the City of Helsingborg реконstructs Maria Stationsgata, it is not only about new asphalt and improved traffic flow—it is also about safety, accessibility, and light. That is why Malux’s vandal-resistant LED luminaire Rondo was selected to illuminate the pedestrian and cycle paths along the new street.
The luminaire is built to withstand harsh environments. With protection rating IP66 and impact resistance IK11++, Rondo withstands up to 120 joules, making it an obvious choice for public environments where durability and safety are critical.
Rondo is often used in pedestrian tunnels, stairwells, institutions, and corridors—but it is equally well suited to modern urban development projects where lighting is an important part of the overall experience.

Urban development in two phases
The реконstruction of Maria Stationsgata is a major infrastructure project that began in spring 2023. The goal is to improve the connection between the Mariastaden and Berga districts.
The project is being carried out in two phases. Phase one was completed in May 2024, and phase two, which includes parts of Gevärsgatan, Florettgatan, and the area south of Maria station, is expected to be completed in autumn 2025.
