In March 2025, Hertsö Swimming Pool was inaugurated – Luleå’s newest facility for exercise, play, and recreation. The facility includes a children’s splash pool, a lap pool, a multi-purpose pool, and a café, and is designed with high standards for safety, functionality, and long-term operation.

Uniform and safe lighting in the 25-meter pool
For the large 25-meter swimming pool, LED luminaire type 4.1900 with an asymmetrical light distribution was selected. The solution provides uniform light distribution across the entire pool floor, creating good visibility and increased safety for both swimmers and staff.
A decisive advantage is that the luminaire can be serviced from the rear in a dry space, without affecting the pool. This means:
Centrally supplied emergency lighting with monitoring
For the emergency lighting, Hertsö Swimming Pool has chosen a DG-S centrally supplied unit with monitoring. The system monitors the entire emergency lighting installation and displays status in real time.
