Green Cargo is a logistics company that operates freight transport by rail, both domestically and internationally. Green Cargo collaborates with approximately 200 trucking companies that perform road transport to and from the railway.

The company uses GSM-R phones at its rail yards for communication and protection during lone working. In recent years, we have worked together with Green Cargo to replace their old Segem TiGR phones with new, modern SED OPH-810R units. The phone is designed specifically for railway work and harsh environments. It is extremely resistant to impacts, drops, and vibrations and can be set to automatic alarm if the user encounters an emergency. For example, a fall alarm if the person is injured or otherwise ends up on the ground and cannot move.
At some of the rail yards, Green Cargo had experienced reception issues, whereupon we recommended an upgraded version of the SED OPH-810R that has a built-in filter against interference from the public GSM network, which resolved their problems.
