Funkwerk is dedicated to the continuous development of new mobile railway radio systems and the updating of new features.
The modular structure allows us to adapt Funkwerk’s Cab Radio systems to all types of different installations and interface requirements for our customers. Funkwerk’s systems meet various protection classes depending on their intended use and specification. To withstand the harsh conditions on railway vehicles, great emphasis is placed on robustness, quality, and reliability.

Cab Radio MESA26 CR26
The rack-mounted main unit of a MESA26 system.
It complies with European requirements for use in railway vehicles and is equipped with the MT5E radio module, which meets the requirements for interference from public networks according to TS 102 933.
You can connect 1 or 2 so-called MMIC control panels to the main unit, along with the associated handset and speakers located in the driver’s cab.

Cab Radio MESA23 MTRS 1 RI
A vertically built main unit for the MESA23 system.
It complies with European requirements for use in railway vehicles and is equipped with the MT5E radio module, which meets the requirements for interference from public networks according to TS 102 933.
You can connect 1 or 2 MMIS control panels to the main unit, along with the associated handset and speakers located in the driver’s cab.


Cab Radio Compact CRC26N
A terminal unit intended for use as a train radio, shunting radio, and for data applications operating within the GSM-R network.
It complies with European requirements for use in railway vehicles. The MESA 26 NSR system features a compact design and is designed as an exchangeable plug-in unit. It consists of a transmitter and receiver, control unit, internal power supply, and system connector. The system connection is located on the rear for connection to the vehicle’s system.
