By combining the trusted TrainTalk™ system with the innovative functionality available via SED GSM-R, the operator can move around inside or outside the vehicle without switching to another means of communication.
Specifically designed to withstand the extreme conditions faced by railway personnel, Malux phones and communication solutions provide outstanding flexibility in all environments.
OPH = Operational Purpose Handsets enable efficient, fast and, above all, safe communication in all situations. Specifically designed to withstand the extreme conditions in which railway personnel operate, especially outside the vehicle “in the ballast” with “pickaxe, crowbar and shovel”.
OPS = Operational Purpose Shunting handset. The same performance as an OPH, but specifically designed for shunting/switching of railway vehicles.

OPH/OPS-810R
The OPH and OPS phones are designed for operational purposes. The OPS model is largely based on the OPH model, but is specifically designed for the needs of shunting/switching of railway vehicles.
The phones are specifically designed to withstand shocks and vibrations, as well as varying temperature and humidity conditions—all aspects of the often extreme conditions faced by railway personnel. In particular, the handheld units are equipped with high-capacity batteries suitable for low temperatures. The handheld units are also intended for use in noisy environments and provide dedicated buttons for the main functions, so that you can communicate.
The Operational Purpose Handheld Shunting (OPS-R) is largely based on the OPH, but is equipped with software that supports shunting/switching functions such as LAS signal transmission and a Man Down function with GPS positioning in the event of an accident. (Tested and approved by SOS Alarm)
Features:
– Railway emergency calls, group calls and announcements
– Supports advanced speech call items (ASCI) Phase 2+ with GPRS
– Meets EIRENE requirements in accordance with FRS 8.0 and SRS 16.0
Solutions specifically designed to meet the often extreme environments and conditions faced by railway personnel, such as varying temperatures, high humidity, or shocks and vibrations.
